Davíd, or Dave, as he is more commonly known, is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. While he calls the Bay Area his childhood home, the truth is he spent a portion of it moving from one place to another. From the East Coast, to California, to Australia, Singapore, and back to California, his early childhood was influenced by ex patriot life and extensive travel throughout Asia. Upon graduating form high school he travelled north to Eugene, where he studied Anthropology before switching to Exercise and Movement Science, which he received a degree in. With a thought to go to culinary school after graduation he decided instead to put his degree to use and became a personal fitness trainer, where he was quite successful for just over three years. Then it was off to The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY for two years of culinary education with a six month stop in St. Helena, CA at Martini House. Upon graduation, he made plans to tryout for Scott Dolich at Park Kitchen. Feeling right at home, Dave accepted the job offer and has worked there since the Summer of 2004. He is currently the sous chef at Park Kitchen. |
